  • Kinship Support Group

    MONDAYS 12:00 - 14:00 (FREE)

    The purpose of this group is to provide support to people who are facing similar situations, pressures, or difficulties.

    The group is led by a qualified psychologist and is a working partnership between Cornhill Community Centre and Third Level Foundation.

    The group will be people led but discussion topics may include:

    • Family dynamics

    • Communication

    • Attachment and Loss

    • Child development

    • Living with teenagers /social media

    • Mental health

    • Time for ourselves

    • Interacting with the Professionals

  • Book Club

    MONDAYS 12:45 - 14:00 (FREE - DONATIONS ARE WELCOME FOR TEA/COFFEE/BISCUITS)

    Due to the recent closure of the Cornhill Library we wanted to provide a space for people to meet and read.

    Our book club is perfect for you if you are looking for a quiet spot to read or if you are looking for a place to read and discuss books/provide reading suggestions to other people in your community over a nice cup of tea or coffee.

    All participants will be required to take their own books.

  • Poetry Group (Online on Zoom)

    TUESDAYS 19:30-21:00 (FREE - ONLINE VIA ZOOM)

    Tuesday evenings are our poetry night! Would you like to kick back and relax while listening to some poetry? Or maybe you'd like to share some of your favourites? Or do you have some of your own poems to share? Or would you simply like to try something new? Join us and meet the wonderful people in our group from around the globe.

  • Counselling Service

    WEDNESDAYS EVENINGS (FREE)

    Places are available for anyone over the age of 16 who would like to explore stresses and strains of life. This can be emotional, practical, or developmental.

    Sessions are 50 minutes long, confidential, and held in a quiet room in Cornhill Community Centre.

    Topics you may want to talk about can include:

    • Mental Health - stresses/depressed/anxious

    • Confidence

    • Communication

    • Self Esteem

    • Family matters/patterns

    • Changes at home or work

    • Bereavement

    • And more....

    There IS a requirement to book this counselling service. To register your interest please email Sheena at info@thirdlevelfoundation.co.uk and she will give you a date and time to attend.

  • Coping Skills and Resilience Workshops

    MONDAYS 12:00 - 14:00 AND WEDNESDAYS 18:30 - 20:30 (FREE)

    Living with anxiety, depression or both can be very difficult, confusing, exhausting and stressful.

    We are working in partnership with Sheila from Third Level Foundation to provide workshops which will provide you with a tool bag of coping strategies.

    Key strategies include how to recognise anxiety and learn where it comes from. We provide information about how these conditions can affect us. In addition, you will build confidence in communicating in stressful situations.

  • Zhuan Jiao Kuan

    WEDNESDAYS 19:00 - 21:00 (£4 per class)

    Ages - both adults and children (12+). All levels of ability are welcome.

    Zhuan Jio Kuan is is a dynamic, modern kung-fu style. The training system is based on traditional Chinese long-fist kung-fu, but also incorporates elements of other martial arts along with modern training methods and a practical approach to self-defence.

    Our class is run by the fantastic Hamid Birjandi, a martial artist with over 36 years of experience in Chinese boxing!

  • Community Garden Group

    Community Garden Group

    SUNDAYS 17:00 onwards

    Our community garden group meet every Sunday to develop the Cornhill Community Garden.

    Activities include designing the garden, planting seeds and flowers, and planning the next steps for the community garden.
